Day - 01   Arrival at Chennai International Airport

Arrival assistance at Chennai International Airport, then transfer to the hotel. In the late afternoon, visit some of the important sightseeing places of Chennai like Government Museum, Fort St.George,St. Mar's Church, Santhome Church, Marina beach, and Kapaleeshwara Temple. Overnight Stay at Chennai. .

Day - 02    Chennai - Mahabalipuram

In the morning, have a drive to the Silk city named "Kanchipuram", an ancient capital of the Pallava dynasty ruled between 7th and 8th centuries. First and foremost, Visit the Ekambareshwara temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva is the most famous one with tall towers, massive halls with sculptured pillars. Next, proceed to Kailasanatha temple which is also meant for Lord Shiva is the finest specimen for Pallava architecture with beautifully carved sculptures. Have a lunch in the city. In the afternoon, Drive to Mahabalipuram, the ancient port city of the Pallavas. Have a relax in the beach side. Overnight Stay at Mahabalipuram.

Day - 03    Mahabalipuram

After the breakfast, have a visit to the World Heritage UNESCO sites of Mahabalipuram. First, to the Sea Shore temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Vishnu, and then to Five Rathas "Five Chariots", a monolithic structure, representing an unique style built by the pallavas, then finally to Arjuna's Penance. Return back to the Hotel. Have a relax in the beach side. Overnight Stay at Mahabalipuram.

Day - 04    Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

In the morning, drive to Pondicherry "The French Colony". Check-in to the hotel. In the late afternoon have a visit to Sri Aurobindo Ashram, an Ashram dedicated to Sri Aurobindo & "The Mother" Have a visit to "The Church of Sacred Heart" and "Notre dame des Anges". Have a rickshaw ride in the commercial streets , French Colony and markets. Have a rest in the hotel. Overnight Stay at Pondicherry.

Day - 05    Pondicherry - Tanjore

After the breakfast, drive to Tanjore. Enroute, visit the famous Nataraja temple dedicated to Lord Shiva at Chidhambaram. Then continue your drive to visit the famous Shiva Temple at Gangaikondacholapuram which was built in the 11th century by the chola dynasty, one of the World Protected UNESCO Site. In the late afternoon, visit the 12th century Chola temple in a small village named Darasuram and then proceed your drive to Tanjore. Overnight stay at Tanjore.

Day - 06   Tanjore

Have a day excursion to Trichy. In the morning, have a stop at 'Amma Mandapam' - the holy banks of River Cauvery, where you can see the Hindu rituals after the cremation. It's quite interesting to see the rituals performed by the Hindus with the help of the priest. Then proceed to visit the famous Vishnu temple in Srirangam, the most important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. Climb the Rock Fort where you can have a good panoramic view of the city. Have a lunch in the city. Then return back to Tanjore to visit the Tanjore Art Gallery which houses the collection of sculptures and statues. In the evening, visit the Brihadeeshwara Temple which is one of the World Heritage Monument built by the chola dynasty in the 10th century. Overnight stay at Tanjore.

Day - 07    Tanjore - Chettinadu - Madurai

In the morning, drive to Chettinadu, a tranquil village belongs to the Chettiars, a rich community who made their business in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Burma, Singapore etc. Have a walk in the village streets to feel the ambience. In the late afternoon, proceed to Madurai. Then visit the famous Tirumalainayak Palace built in 17th century with grand pillars is the most attractive one. In the evening, visit the Meenakshi temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati and a thousand pillared hall with eye-catching sculptures. In the late evening, have a visit to the Meenakshi temple again to see the night ceremony around 9 pm inside the temple. Have a relax in the hotel. Overnight stay at Madurai.

Day - 08    Madurai - Periyar

Today you are going to travel a long distance. Enroute you can able to see many tropical plantations like rice,sugarcane, cotton, papaya, grapes etc. In the afternoon after reaching periyar "the frontier between Tamil Nadu and Kerala", have a guided visit to the spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla, cinnamom, cloves, nutmeg, green chilly, pepper etc. In the evening if you feel free you can do the elephant ride, ayurvedic massage which are optional. Overnight Stay at Periyar.

Day - 09    Periyar - Alleppey House Boat

After the breakfast, drive to Alleppey "the land of backwaters". Enroute you can see the tea plantations that serve as the natural greenish carpets. In the afternoon check in the houseboat and have a delicious lunch and enjoy the cruise in the Vembanadu Lake by passing through its canals for about 5 hours. In the evening, the boat will be anchored at the egde of the lake / backwater and take your dinner in the boat itself. Have a comfortable stay in the houseboat. Overnight stay in Air-conditioned houseboat at Alleppey.

Day - 10    Alleppey - Cochin

In the morning, after the check out from the houseboat, drive to Cochin also known as "Fort Kochi". Kochi is also known as the "Queen of the Arabian sea".In the afternoon have a visit to some important monuments and churches belongs to 15th and 16th centuries. First visit the St.Francis Church, the oldest protestant church built by the Portuguese in 1510, now with CSI where you can see the tomb of a Portuguese Sailor Vasco-da-gama. Then to Santa Cruz Basilica, a catholic church and Chinese Fishing nets. In the evening attend the Kerala Traditional Dance Show named "KATHAKALI". Overnight stay at Cochin.

Day - 11    Cochin

In the morning have a short drive to visit the Mattancherry palace built by the Portuguese in 1555 AD and handed over to the Kerala king and Jewish Synagogue built in 1568 but destroyed by the Portuguese and rebuilt by the Dutch. Have a walk in the Jew Town and return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Cochin.

Day - 12    Cochin - Ooty

In the morning, drive to Ooty also known as "Nilgiris - the blue mountains". Have a pleasant evening by enjoying the chill climate. If time permits, you can visit the Botanical garden and a view point. Overnight stay at Ooty.

Day - 13    Ooty - Mysore

Start your travel little bit early to reach the Mysore soon. Today you are going to cross two wildlife reserves namely Mudhumalai and Bandipur. There is a chance for spotting the animals in the nature while you are travelling. In the evening visit the Chamundi Temple dedicated to Goddess Parvati in Chamundi Hills and Devarajah Market where you can visit the flowers, fruits and vegetables markets and color powder shops. Overnight stay at Mysore.

Day - 14   Mysore

In the morning have a visit to the Mysore Maharajah Palace, a huge complex belongs to 19th century designed by an Italian architect "Henry Irwin" and built by the Wodeyars. There is also an audio guide in all languages. Then proceed to Srirangapatna, the Tipu's capital. Visit the famous Vishnu(Ranganatha) temple, then to Tipu's summer palace. Then return back to Mysore. Have a pleasant stay with enjoyable climate. Overnight stay at Mysore.

Day - 15   Mysore - Hassan

After the breakfast, drive to Hassan. Enroute visit the most popular Jain pilgrimage centre called "Shravanabelogola". This place is known for its Colossal monolithic statue of Gomateshwara. Then continue your drive. Visit the Hoysaleshwara temple in a small village called Halebidu and Chenna Kesava Temple at Belur. Both the temples belong to the Hoysala dynasty of 12th century depicts the detailed architecture of Hoysala dynasty. Drive to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hassan.

Day - 16   Hassan - Hospet

In the morning have a long drive to reach Hospet. Enroute visit the grand fortress named "Chitradurga" on the top of the granite hills that raises from the ground. This fort was used by different rulers like Rashtrakutas, Chalukyas,Hoysalas, Vijayanagara, Nayakas, Tipusultan and finally by the British between 3rd and 19th centuries. Continue your drive. Day - 17    Hospet

After the breakfast, have a full day visit of the ruines of Hampi "The capital of great Vijayanagara dynasty" from 14-16th centuary which is situated 13kms from Hospet. The interesting places are Ganesha Temple, Ukra Narasimha Temple, Krishna Temple, Lotus Mahal, Stepped tank, Viruppaksha Temple (the only living temple), the Vittala temple, Stone Chariot etc. Then return back to the hotel. Day - 18    Hospet

Visit the remaining places of Hampi. Return back to Hospet. Overnight stay at Hospet.

Day - 19   Hospet - Badami

In the morning drive to Aihole, the 5th century Lad-Khan Temple built by the Chalukyan dynasty and then proceed your drive to Pattadakal, a huge temple complex which houses seven Shiva temples. In the evening have a visit to Badami Caves which is also built by the Chalukyas. The surrounding areas are covered by massive rocks with red stones gives an impressive outlook of the caves and offers a good sunsetting point. Overnight Stay at Badami.

Day - 20   Badami - Bijapur - Solapur

In the morning drive to Solapur. Visit the most important historical sites like Ibrahim Rouza, Gol Gumbaz, Jama Masjid, Malik - e - Maidan, Gagan Mahal and Jala Manzil. Continue your drive. Have a rest in the hotel. Overnight night stay at Solapur.

Day - 21    Solapur - Aurangabad

After the breakfast, drive to Aurangabad. Have a rest in the hotel. Overnight stay at Aurangabad.

Day - 22    Aurangabad

Day excursion to Ajanta and Ellora Caves, which are the most famous World Heritage UNESCO sites. Return back to the Hotel. Overnight stay at Aurangabad.

Day - 23   Aurangabad – departure to Mumbai by flight
